Why Crownz

We bring our own vacuum system

Most pool technicians vacuum through your pool’s own pump and filter. We don’t. Crownz uses its own dedicated vacuum systems, so the leaves, dirt and debris we lift off the floor never pass through your filtration system. That means a cleaner filter, less wear on your pump and equipment, and clearer water between visits.

What every service includes

  • Vacuum and brush the floor, walls and waterline so algae never gets a foothold.
  • Empty the skimmer and pump baskets, a big deal in the Highlands from autumn right through winter.
  • Clean your pool cover if you have one.
  • Computer-tested water balance: pH, chlorine, alkalinity and more, adjusted on the spot.
  • An equipment check of the pump, filter, chlorinator and heater, so small problems are caught before they turn into a green pool or a costly repair.

Our technicians aren’t just pool cleaners. They understand how your equipment works, and they’ll let you know if something needs fixing or replacing before it causes trouble.

How often should my pool be serviced?

We recommend weekly visits to get the best out of your pool, especially through summer and the autumn leaf drop. Fortnightly and monthly plans suit quieter pools or owners who do a bit themselves, and we’re happy to tailor a plan around how you use your pool.

Highlands pools need a slightly different approach

Our pools sit 600 to 750 metres above sea level, which changes the job. Cold water slows everything down: chlorine demand drops, many salt chlorinators produce less in cold water, and heaters and covers matter more. Then autumn arrives and the oaks, elms, maples and liquidambars let go of their leaves. We adjust visits, run times and chemical levels through the year rather than doing the same thing every week.

One-off services and water balance

Not after a regular plan? We also do one-off services: a full clean and water balance before a party, before you sell, after a storm or when you’ve just bought a home with a pool. Depending on the pool’s condition, a one-off clean may take one visit or a few to get it right.

Spas too

Spas and swim spas need the same care in a smaller volume, so balance goes off faster. We service spas on their own or together with your pool.

Frequently asked questions

How often should my pool be professionally cleaned?

As a general guide, every one to two weeks keeps water quality and hygiene where they should be. Weekly is best in summer and during autumn leaf drop; many Highlands owners drop back to fortnightly or monthly in the depths of winter.

How much does a pool service cost?

It depends on the size of the pool, its equipment and how often you’d like us to visit, so we quote each pool individually. Quotes are free. Just fill in the quote form or give us a call.

Do you supply the chemicals?

Yes, we carry what’s needed to balance your water on the spot. We’ll explain anything we add and why.
