Pumps

Leaks, noisy bearings, motors that won’t start or trip the power. We repair what’s worth repairing, and replace with energy-efficient variable-speed pumps when it isn’t. Newer eco pumps can use far less power than older single-speed models.

Filters

Sand, glass and cartridge filters. Filter media should be replaced roughly every five years. Glass media is a popular upgrade over sand because it means less backwashing and better water clarity.

Salt chlorinators

Cell cleaning, testing and replacement, plus upgrades to smart chlorinators that can monitor your water and adjust output automatically.

Pool heaters

Gas heaters, electric heat pumps and solar heating. We help you choose what suits a cold Highlands pool and keep it running efficiently.

Leaks & plumbing

Leaking fittings, valves and equipment pads, plus tracking down why a pool or spa keeps losing water.

Cleaners & automation

Robotic, suction and pressure cleaners, and automation that lets you control pumps, heating and lights from your phone.

We come to you, fully equipped

We arrive on-site ready to diagnose the problem and sort it out quickly, so you’re not without a working pool for longer than necessary. Whether it’s a quick adjustment to a pump or a full overhaul of your filtration, we’ll explain what’s wrong, what it’ll take to fix and whether a repair or a replacement makes more sense.

Heating a pool in the Highlands

Highlands pools are cold for much of the year, so heating is one of the most popular upgrades:

  • Electric heat pumps are efficient to run and steady, but they work harder in very cold air.
  • Gas heaters heat quickly for spur-of-the-moment swims and suit spas well.
  • Solar heating with a good cover is low-cost to run and stretches the season through spring and autumn.

Whatever you choose, a pool cover makes the biggest difference by keeping the heat in overnight and the leaves out.

Frequently asked questions

Should I repair or replace my pool pump?

If the motor and housing are sound, replacing seals or bearings is often worth it. If the pump is old, inefficient or the motor has failed, a new energy-efficient pump usually pays for itself in lower power bills. We’ll give you both options.

My salt chlorinator says it’s working but the pool keeps going cloudy. Why?

The cell may be scaled up or worn out, salt levels may be off, or the water may simply be too cold for the cell to produce much. We test the cell and the water and tell you which it is.

Do you supply the equipment?

Yes. We can supply and install pumps, filters, chlorinators, heaters and cleaners, or install equipment you’ve already bought.

Do you install commercial pool equipment?

Yes. We supply and install commercial pool equipment, including water monitoring and automated dosing and control systems. See our Commercial Pools page.
